Southwest Florida is the epicenter of some of the most beautiful beaches. With amazing white sand, clear water, and unforgettable sunsets they are hard to rival. Englewood's area beaches are a bit of a well-kept secret which makes them family-friendly and not crowded. Most beaches around host water activities, including kayaking, paddle boarding, and amazing shell and shark tooth collecting.
Englewood Beach
This pristine beach offers white sand, sparkling blue waters, and spectacular sunset views year-round. This beach also offers many amenities including a 900-foot boardwalk with three covered lookouts, restroom facilities, showers, water stations, volleyball courts, basketball court, horseshoe pits, playground area, food vendors available on-site, four small shelters with picnic table and grill, and three large pavilions, all of which contain picnic tables and charcoal grills. The pavilions are available to rent for birthday parties, family reunions, corporate parties, large picnics, and other special events.

Blind Pass Beach
Blind Pass, also known as Middle Beach, offers Gulf-to-bay access, almost 3,000 feet of beach frontage, and across the road on the bay side, a beautiful trail through the mangrove forest, and a fishing dock.

Manasota Key Beach
Manasota Beach might be one of the least crowded beaches in Sarasota County, thus giving a visitor the chance to imagine that the whole gorgeous beach is merely their own private beach for a time. With convenient beach-access parking and its amenities -- picnic shelters, boat ramps, and paved trails it's an idyllic place for different levels of beach activity ambition.

Don Pedro Island State Park
This beautiful little island is part of an extensive chain of barrier islands extending along the Gulf Coast of Florida. Between Knight Island and Little Gasparilla Island, Don Pedro is accessible only by private boat. Visitors might see endangered animals such as West Indian manatees, gopher tortoises, bald eagles, and American oystercatchers. With a mile of white sand beach, popular activities include sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and shelling. Boat and surf fishing are also favorite pastimes.

Stump Pass Beach State Park
Stump Pass Beach is a mile of beach where seashells and shark teeth wash up, and anglers fish the surf for prize catches. Visitors can enjoy an excellent view of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as a stretch of undeveloped Florida coastline. This secluded beach is great for year-round swimming and sunbathing; shelling is best during the winter months. While at the park, visitors might see West Indian manatees, gopher tortoises, snowy egrets, least terns, and magnificent frigatebirds.

Boca Grande Pass
The Boca Grande Pass, just off the southern tip of Gasparilla Island State Park, is world-famous for sportfishing, particularly tarpon. The pass connects Charlotte Harbor to the Gulf of Mexico and is one of the deepest natural passes in Florida, reaching depths of 80 feet.

Gasparilla Island State Park

Maxine Barritt Park
This park sits in a picturesque location on the Gulf of Mexico. Large picnic pavilions, grills, children’s play set, and public facilities make it a perfect place for a family outing. The park is around a pond where you can see many types of birds and alligators. A fence separates the pond and a paved walking trail. There is plenty of parking. It is adjacent to Paw Park on one side, Sharky's restaurant, and the Venice Fishing Pier on the other.
